Environmental Program Manager

Clean Harbors is looking for an Environmental Program Manager to join their safety conscious team! This position will be supporting the execution of various client environmental management programs.
The Hazardous Waste Program Manager serves as the client's main contact and primary interface with Clean Harbors daily.
Successful candidate should have experience with managing RCRA and DOT.
Also, responsible for and manage the client's hazardous waste program at theclient location in Livonia, MI.

CHTasks o Responsible for all Clean Harbors' activities and programs on customer's site.
o Manage and coordinate the efforts of all Clean Harbors onsite employees.
o Enlist Clean Harbors' corporate resources as needed to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
o Assist with managing customer's air, water and hazardous waste programs.
o Manage and track facility wide cradle to grave waste generation, storage, and disposal.
o Responsible for proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
o Schedule transportation and disposal for outgoing wastes as needed.
o Provide waste tracking reports as needed.
o Maintain adequate levels of equipment for emergency responses and ongoing projects.
o Scope special projects and provide estimates.
o Assist customers with compiling data necessary for completing the Generator's Annual Report and other required reporting functions.
o Conduct facility wide compliance audits to include inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
o Provide weekly status reports to facility management.
o Utilize CHOICE waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste program.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's in chemistry, biology, or environmental science preferred.

years of hazardous waste experience.
Familiarity with regulatory state requirements of Small and Large Quantity Generators.
RCRA experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities/Competencies o Leadership and management skills.

o Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
o Good organizational skills, decisiveness and initiative.
o Ability to work with little or no supervision.
o Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Computer skills - Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivableo Familiarity with EPA, DOT, NRC, and applicable state and local regulations.
o Working knowledge of Profit and Loss management.
o Working knowledge of Safety.
