Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Description Staff Management SMX is immediately hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our premier manufacturing client in Westland, MI! This second shift position is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and advance your career.

Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
Handles incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse.
Tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, cycle counts.
Printing shipping labels and postage.
Schedule expedites.
Set up the Service orders.
Rail car BOL in CSX system.
Inventory of bad racks in the plant.
Inventory of material pending for reworks.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to lift at least 40 lbs.
Pass Oral Drug Test and Background Check.
Associate Requirements HS Diploma or GED Background Check Able to Lift 40 pounds Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old > Recommended Skills Customer Service Positive Attitude Stock Control Expediting Apply to this job.
