Representing the clinic practice with excellent communication skills as a first point of contact both in person and on the phone.
Responsibilities include:
Assist in answering phones and schedule both new and returning appointments.
Obtain necessary patient registration information, verify eligibility.
Accurately enter patient's demographics via EMR.
Collect applicable copays from patients and electronically post to patient's account.
Balance cash drawer.
Scan information into medical records.
Prepare new paperwork for patient appointments.
Help referral coordinator with directing and scheduling outside appointments.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalency required.
Knowledge of medical terminology desired.
Minimum of two years prior medical receptionist and/or medical office experience required.
